NexxConnect™ is a powerful connectivity environment that allows Nexxio to integrate logistics applications re-purpose logistics data to virtually any host business system.  NexxConnect utilizes the Microsoft .NET Framework and is designed for projects requiring more sophistication and automation;, such as high volume “black box” shipment processing, or the capturing, aggregating, and execution of pack/ship/track data and processes.  NexxConnect provides integration through the following modules:

Database Integration Service – A Windows service that polls ODBC and OLE DB compliant database at a certain time interval with a user configurable select statement for the existence of data. If data is returned then an event is raised to a Nexxio dll (thread) where the data can be parsed, and business logic can be performed.

TCP/IP Integration Service — A Windows service that acts as a TCP/IP listener and employs “integrators” to incorporate multi-threaded/multi-process operations. The service raises an event to a Nexxio dll (thread) where the message can then be parsed, business logic and application processing can be performed, and a return message sent to the calling client.

File Integration Service — A Windows service that monitors a directory for new, changed, or deleted files. An event will be raised to a Nexxio dll (thread) based on any of these events, at which point the data can be parsed, and business logic can be performed. The service has the ability to monitor multiple directories simultaneously for any of these events.

Web Service – This service provides the ability to expose and consume data or integrate systems via the open standard of XML Web Services. When employing a Services-Oriented Architecture (SOA), an organization is no longer bound by the constraints of their internal network when integrating disparate systems. We are able to provide controlled, secure access to systems that have connectivity to the internet.

If an end-user client requires custom software integration that doesn’t fall within the bounds of our “out of the box” modules, Nexxio’s NexxConnect environment allows for better management of business information by sharing critical data among disparate applications.
